Emergency help in TuJu

The app carries an SOS path to highway concessionaires, plus numbers for the authority, operators, and insurers. A crash with injuries is still a 999 call.

If someone is hurt

Call 999. That is the national line for police, ambulance, and fire. Do it before you open TuJu, before you photograph the scene, and before you look for an insurance hotline. If the car is in a live lane and you can leave it safely, get behind the barrier on the side away from traffic, then call.

Say that you are on a highway, the name of the highway if you know it, the direction, and the last marker or interchange. Tell them if anyone is injured, if there is fire, and if the vehicle is still in a running lane. Stay on the call.

The SOS button

TuJu's SOS is a second call, not the first, when people are hurt. LLM's deputy director-general described it on 22 October 2026 as a button that lets a driver reach the highway concessionaire directly. The launch description was the same idea in more words: fast access to LLM, the concessionaire, and insurance numbers.

Use it for a breakdown, a debris problem, or to tell the operator you are stopped once 999 already has the medical call. The concessionaire can close a lane and send a patrol. They are not the ambulance. If the app itself is frozen, which was the failure LLM described during the download surge, use the phone's dialler and the numbers on the highways page. PLUS highways publish 1-800-88-0000. LLM's traffic line is 1-800-88-7752.

What to say

Keep it short. Highway, direction, last place you recognised, what happened, how many people, whether anyone is hurt, whether the car is on fire or in a lane. If you have a passenger, one person calls 999 and the other watches traffic. Do not cross a live lane to fetch a warning triangle if trucks are still passing at speed.

Insurance numbers inside the app are for the panel and the tow once everyone is safe. MyJalan is for a pothole or a dead signal you want fixed later. Neither is the emergency channel. That split is spelled out on the MyJalan page.
