Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

As of 22 October 2026, independent testing found no Android Auto or Apple CarPlay support in TuJu. Until that changes, the safe setup is a mounted phone and a passenger on the screen.

What the test found

SoyaCincau's 22 October 2026 test found no Android Auto support and no Apple CarPlay support. The phone apps did not project the route onto the car's built-in screen. That is a practical hole on any car from the last several years, because the mounted screen in the dashboard is where a navigation app is supposed to live if you are not going to hold the phone.

We have not seen a later store note that adds either feature. If you are reading this after a fresh update, check the Play or App Store changelog for the words Android Auto or CarPlay before you assume the gap is closed. Until those words appear, plan on the phone itself.

How to drive with it anyway

Put the phone in a mount you can glance at without bending down, brightness high enough for daylight, voice on. Set the destination before you move. A passenger should be the person who opens cameras, changes the stop, or retries a login. If you are alone, leave the route alone until you can stop.

Do not balance the phone on your lap, the wheel, or a cup holder. The October test's failure mode was a prompt that did not name the exit. That already makes people look down. A phone that has also slid off the vent makes it worse. The safety notes are the rest of that rule.

The music pause

The same test found an audio bug on iPhone even without full CarPlay navigation. A TuJu prompt interrupted the music, and the music did not resume. The driver had to tap the car screen to get the song back. Tapping a screen in moving traffic is the hazard. If this happens, leave the music off until you are stopped, or accept the silence. Do not hunt through the head unit at highway speed to fix a song.

If a later build resumes audio cleanly, this note can retire. Until you hear it resume yourself, assume it will not.
