Tolls, R&R, fuel, and EV chargers
TuJu can show a toll estimate, rest and service areas, fuel, food, and, on Android 2.0, EV charging. The figure on the phone is for planning. The booth is what you pay.
Toll figures
Toll information was a launch feature. The Works Ministry said drivers would get an immediate toll calculation and a live traffic report from LLM's traffic centre. The August 2026 Play notes added toll announcements while you are already on the route. Use both the same way: to decide, before the plaza, whether the tag balance or the cash in the door will cover the trip.
Classes of vehicle, a missed entry plaza, and a discount you think you have can all move the number. If TuJu's figure and the sign at the plaza differ, the plaza wins. Do not argue with a booth from memory of a phone screen.
Rest and service areas
R&R on a Malaysian highway is Rehat dan Rawat, the rest and service area. TuJu's own site says it points you to those stops, to fuel, to EV chargers, and to food along the route. The launch called the same thing a search for facilities at the rest area. On a long North-South run, the useful habit is to choose the stop before the one that everyone else will choose once the radio says the next two are full.
Treat opening hours, the brand of the restaurant, and whether a toilet block is open as things you confirm on arrival. A directory lags behind renovations. The photo above is the kind of place the app is trying to help you find, not a live shot from inside TuJu.
Fuel and EV chargers
Fuel stops have been part of the directory since the product site described them. Android 2.0 called the charger list out again at the October 2026 briefing, which suggests the operators wanted it to be easier to find, not that every stall in the country is now in the database. If you are electric, plan a charger that still leaves you margin. If the pin is wrong, the next R&R with fuel is the fallback, and you need to know you can reach it.
None of this replaces looking at the gauge. An app that crashes on a festive morning, which is what LLM described on 22 October 2026, cannot be your only fuel plan.
Paying the toll
You still pay at the plaza. Dr Mohammed Ridzuan Jahidin said on 22 October 2026 that LLM hoped to add in-app toll payment later. No design and no date were published. Until a store update says payment is live, TuJu will not take the fare for you.
