TuJu app in Malaysia

TuJu is built for highways in Peninsular Malaysia. It is not a global maps product, and it is not the unrelated apps that show up beside its name in search.

Built for peninsular highways

TuJu is a Malaysian product in a narrow, useful sense. It is aimed at the tolled highways of Peninsular Malaysia, run with the authority that oversees those highways. The product copy on tuju.my says so directly: a companion for exploring the peninsular network, whether the trip is long, a commute, or a check of today's road.

It is a poor assumption if you are looking for a full city guide, a Sabah or Sarawak navigator, or a walking map. Open the route you care about and see if the line follows the road. If it cuts across a neighbourhood in a straight stroke, that build does not know the streets. The October 2026 tests found that failure mode in the Klang Valley, where ramps sit close together.

The Apple listing names English as the language. LLM's public pages about the app are in Malay. We have not audited every in-app string. Expect a Malaysian road network described at least in English on iPhone, and do not assume a full Malay voice pack until you hear it.

The launch

The app was launched on 26 November 2025, at 2pm, at the southbound Seremban rest area on the North-South Expressway. Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi officiated. Also there, according to Malay Mail's report of the day: Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, LLM director-general Datuk Sazali Harun, and Prosignal Consortium chairman Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari.

The partnership itself is older. The minister's speech, published by LLM, dates the joint work with Prosignal to 2022, and places TuJu inside the tolled-highway slice of MyJalan. The long horizon he named was the country's ITS Roadmap 2030. That is a policy frame, not a feature you can tap. The features he actually listed that afternoon were navigation and ETA, tolls and traffic, R&R search, live CCTV, and emergency assistance.

A year later, on 21 October 2026, the prime minister suggested the public consider TuJu as a local alternative for road navigation. The next morning the app was struggling under the downloads, and LLM said so in public. A recommendation does not extend coverage to every road in the country. It is a reason to try the official build. It is not a reason to ignore a wrong exit.

Names that are not this app

Search suggestions wander. "Tuju dari" is not another product. Dari is Malay for "from", so the phrase is ordinary language that happens to start with the brand. "Limited" is a different word that autocomplete sometimes glues on. There is a Swiss deals app called Limited, and there are finance products that use the same word. Coupons in Switzerland, and company accounts abroad, are not the highway app.

"Tuju appears" is the same kind of noise. If the result is not about LLM, Prosignal, package tuju.my, or App Store id 6463124230, you are in the wrong listing. The install path that matches this guide is on the download page.
